We got something really cool at Trader Joe's today.

Adam likes it, mostly because when he rubs it it makes noise. Also it has a string--he likes string.

O great orange god-thing! Come to me!

please be very very very careful with Adam and that baloon. latex baloons and babies/children are a dangerous mix for choking if the baloon pops and he tries to put a piece in his mouth. latex baloons aren't even allowed in hospitals anymore. he's so cute and i love following this blog, just be safe with that baloon!

10 Easy Tips for Baby Safety

4. Banish latex balloons. Did you know that balloons cause 44 percent of all toy-related choking deaths in children? Latex balloons invariably pop and, when they do, the shredded material can become fatally lodged in your child's throat. Ensure baby safety by replacing latex balloons with toys that have been designed to meet child safety product standards.

Thanks for the safety tips, anon. They are well taken. I can assure everyone that Adam is carefully supervised when interacting with the balloon. He doesn't get to put it in his mouth or do anything that is likely to pop it. Mostly he just plays with the string.

We appreciate your concern. Thanks for following the blog!

He is so adorable, I can't get enough of this blog. There is and always will be a lot of dangerous stuff out there its true but I know how he is constantly supervised. The hardest part will be when you have to chase him down to supervise because he will move faster then you, even with the wobble :)
Sometimes I wonder how I or others my age made it without all the safety stuff out there now.
