It's perfectly normal to use your feet on your books. PERFECTLY NORMAL.

The one of him eating the book is too blurry to bother with.

I was a terrible mom today--the batteries died in the monitor and somehow it didn't give me its usual warning beep. So I wandered near the stairs and realized he was wailing like a banshee. Poor kid. I know the monitor wasn't out more than 15 minutes, he can't have been crying TOO long, but I still feel so bad for him. Luckily, he's resiliant, and back in fighting form!



I love you Adam. Sorry about the dirty diaper thing.

Adam Hates Hunger!

He doesn't love green beans, but he hates hunger more. So he's doing something about it--participating in the Walk for Hunger next Sunday, May 3!

Adam is sitting up so much better, so I thought this bear picture would be easy. Ha! He could not be restrained! He won't sit by your stupid "rules." he wants to twist and writhe, arch his back and DANCE! He must dance!

One of Those Days

I suppose we were lucky to make it this far with a perfectly healthy baby. But now he's sneezing and coughing, and not sleeping well at all. The doctor says it's a virus and we'll just take care of him through it. It's no fun for any of us, though. Especially since I'm feeling about the same.

Even if his sleep is miserable, I have to say that he's as cheerful as usual during the day. What a sunny, happy kid we have. How lucky are we?

So today we're curled up inside, watching the world go by.

Two Days of Marsha!

Baby's first ball game! Yes, kids, he's going to be a Sox fan, by indoctrination. Sorry, Tomasulos.

Caught in the Act!

I went to prop him up, and he just sat there like it was nothing. I think it was a trick of balance, but it was pretty darned cool!

And then I appear to have surprised him in the act of working on the toes-in-mouth thing. Which Mike claims he did! Last night! And I missed it! But he can't get it together again. But, come hell or high water, we WILL get there!

And They're Cousins...Identical Cousins

Okay, so they're not identical. But Adam's cousins Vivienne and Marlena are both one year older than he is, and they seemed to enjoy him. Found him fascinating, scientifically speaking. As you can see here.

In other news, at Gramma's house, Adam at his First Food Ever! Rice cereal. It went really, really well, I think.

Three meals with no trouble. Now that we're home, of course, he just wants to gnaw on the spoon and gets pretty annoyed when you try to make him, you know, eat the food that's in it. Ah, well--we're working on it.

We also went to the park. It was windy and cold, but in a bracing way! You can't tell from his face, but we had a lot of fun. Overall, excellent weekend.

You Can't Resist This Face

You look at him, and you can't resist this plea. Adam and I are going to do the Walk for Hunger this year, and we are hoping that you'll sponsor us.

The Walk for Hunger is a 20 mile walk that takes place on the first weekend in May in the city of Boston, and over 30,000 people walk each year. I've participated about 7 times, and it's always a lot of fun.

Now, don't get too excited--I don't expect us to do all 20 miles. But I would love to be able to tell Adam someday that his cuteness coaxed $350 to feed hungry families out of his friends and fans.
