Yellow Fan Submarine

Yesterday's checkup went so smoothly there's not much to say.  Adam is exactly 3 feet tall and 29 pounds, 13 ounces.  He's somewhere around the 65th to 75th percentile with both, which is right on track.  The doctor seems happy with all of my reports about his skills and his eating and sleeping, as well as what he sees in his ears and mouth and eyes.  He had his flu shot with barely a whimper, and had a really awkward blood draw with less crying than I've seen from some adults in the lab. Objectively speaking, he's awesome.

I'll get you a video of this when I can (updated with video!), but Adam's favorite song is "Yellow Submarine," which he can sing almost every word of, and which he will sing for pretty much as long as you'll let him.  Last night Mike got out his guitar, and he and Adam both played their guitars while we all sang the song I think 10 or 15 times before we gave up in exhaustion while Adam poked us to keep going.  My job was to hold the Rock Band microphone up so Adam could sing into it.  We weren't actually playing Rock Band, you understand, so the microphone didn't do anything, but it's a matter of style, don't you see, and his hands were full strumming his acoustic guitar.

He's also decided that, since submarines have propellers, they must be called "fan submarine," so we all actually live in a yellow fan submarine.

Go Beatles!
