The Many Faces of Breakfast

These are from Tuesday's breakfast, when Adam insisted on sitting in Daddy's chair.  I feel that they capture his many moods.

Wait, are mischievous and puckish the same thing?  Those are definitely different expressions.  Darn it, he defies my vocabulary for cuteness!

Just Another Monday Night Dinner

Stephie!

Adam was very excited to see Stephanie this weekend, and was obligingly adorable for her. 

There was guitar playing and the rubbing of marmalade in Adam's hair.  We taught Steph the important games--Hiding! and Feet in the Sink.  We'll get to see Steph again in New Haven in just a few weeks.  Thanks for coming!

Daddy's Trip

We'll have some pictures from Steph's visit this weekend soon, but since Mike left at 4:30 this morning for three days in Arkansas, I thought he'd appreciate these videos first.

Watch This!

I don't know where he learned this, but Adam now does the "Watch This Dance."  Usually he starts it by saying, "Watch this!" but you can set him off by saying it yourself.

Labor Day Weekend

Busy weekend!  First Greg and Liala's party on Saturday, which was a blast--AND had badminton rackets!
 

  

Then the garlic festival on Sunday, where there was a giant pickle with Adam's name on it.

And on Sunday we had lunch at Anna's in Davis Square, where Mike demonstrated how to make Adam laugh hysterically by solemnly reciting the lyrics to "Tambourine Man." 

The only thing we didn't get a photo of was Adam worshiping the fan on the porch at Jo and Tom's new house.  But I'm sure we'll see that again--after all, Jo and Tom have a fan on the porch of their new house.

July Vacation Round-Up

I just found the photos Mike uploaded from our vacation in Maine last month.  So without further ado:

Badminton triumphant!

In a boat, without a boat coat.  We only went out a few feet, and after this he always wore a life jacket--or, as we now call it, boat coat.

No life jacket required here.

Beachy Keen

Marsha had a brilliant idea: let's go to the beach!  We did a little searching and lucked onto Nahant, which is only half an hour from here and has a lovely, huge, cheap-to-park-at beach.  Fabulous.

Adam wasn't so excited about the water, but it was low tide, so there was plenty of sand for him.

He loved following the path we made, and playing Circle Heart in the sand, and digging, and running, and counting the umbrellas, and rocks.

And we found shells!  A really great day.  Then he dozed off on the way home and now won't take his nap.  We'll see how that goes.

Breakfast Bath

This is what happens when I give Adam an English muffin with peanut butter and jam and then go to pop mine in the toaster.  I come back and the jam has mysteriously disappeared.

He enjoyed this much more than his expression indicates.  And yes, I did make him eat some of the actual muffin before I dunked him in the tub.
