Recent Projects

Adam's been all about letters and numbers lately.  We talk our way through spellings and he types names on my computer, or uses magnet letters to spell his favorite words.

He used the magnets to figure out how to write the letters in Hogarth's name.

Here's a picture he drew of the Iron Giant.  It looks a lot like his Dad's which is cut off a bit in this photo.

And then he wrote all the numbers on our hopscotch.  Then he wrote them all again, only bigger.

Swimming In April

It's not okay or normal to be in the ocean in April in Massachusetts.  But we did it!

It was cold, but not as cold as you'd think.  We spent about half an hour wading around in the water, splashing each other, watching the other kids splashing around.

We also played catch with the velcro mitts.  Adam's a little shy of the ball, but he's gotten really enthusiastic about the throwing part.

We had a lunch/snack of hummus, carrots, and pepper sticks.  We ran out of veggies before we ran out of hummus, but luckily we had a spoon to polish things off with.

It was high summer this Patriot's Day, and we spent it just the way you want to spend a summer day.

Pillow Fight!

Happy International Pillow Fight Day, 2012!

And then

We went downtown with Brenda and Jason and had an epic pillow fight with a bunch of strangers.  Adam started out shy but got WAY into it.

You're sorry you missed it, believe me!

For Steph, Part 2

And finally, what we've all been waiting for...

Adam in his new suit.

It's a little big; I'll need to hem it, definitely.

But I thought y'all might like a preview.

So....what do you think?  Okay for the wedding?  Should I get a size smaller?

For Steph, part 1

First, the sandwich cutters.

Very popular.

He even took them to school so everyone could have cut out sandwiches.

Really, everyone in the family loves these, and the lunch box they came in.  Bravo.
