Best. Dad. Ever.

Adam's toy Diesel 10 train was lost recently at the park.  No worries, said Daddy. We'll make another one out of cardboard.

And so they did.

These guys are amazing.  Happy Father's Day!

Fabulous Summer Weekend!

What gorgeous weather for a busy weekend.  Saturday was one of those days where nothing goes right, but everything is fine.  From the T being shut down to the garage being closed for the Pride parade, to the library staring summer hours early this year, to the fire department blocking off a one way street to give a tour, we drove all over everywhere to get very little done.  And then the Frog Pond wasn't open for wading.  But never fear--the carousel is here!

Adam didn't get his first choice of the reindeer, but he was a champ about it and happily rode the zebra.  He likes zebras, so it's okay.

Sunday we all went canoeing.

Gorgeous weather, fun times!

And After

He was remarkably patient through the pictures.  Arf is in most of Steph's wedding photos.

Adam performed very well at the ceremony.  He was a little reluctant to walk up the aisle (or maybe confused?) but he managed nicely.

The groom and best man got him all sorted out once he made it down.

Throughout the ceremony, he alternated between waiting patiently,

looking like he was about to casually wander over to see me,

and hiding behind his pillow.

He claims this was so people couldn't take pictures of him.

And afterward, he retreated with good cheer--though he got lost a bit on the way out, because he wasn't sure exactly who he was following or how closely.

I have to say, for 3.5, the kid really held it together.  Way to go, Adam!

By the way, Steph and Chris got married!  It was a beautiful wedding on a beautiful day full of beautiful people.

It was a great wedding, and they seemed so happy!  Everybody had a blast, too.  Also, ice cream buffet!

More Adam coming soon, but I thought I should give a nod to the bride and groom.
